Kenvue hired Publicis Groupe

2025 ยท Consumer health / OTC

Kenvue's own stated aim was to reduce complexity across its agencies, having already run a separate global influencer review a year earlier.

Somebody said so

Somebody asserted the problem rather than a document recording it. Who said it, and whether they had a stake, is named below.

How we know

Kenvue's stated purpose for the review was to "reduce complexity, improve execution and accelerate growth". The outcome split media, influencer, commerce, healthcare professional support and technology to one holding company and creative to another.

Who says soAd Age for the influencer line, Adweek and BestMediaInfo for the split. Adweek's own copy never uses the word influencer, so that detail rests on Ad Age. Read it
A second sourceAdweek confirmed independently that Kenvue chose WPP and Publicis Groupe after a competitive review that began in the fall, and that Publicis oversees media, commerce, healthcare and technology plus creative and production for Neutrogena. Adweek's own copy does not use the word influencer; the influencer line comes from Ad Age and is repeated by BestMediaInfo, media-marketing.com and Ad Age's own social posts.
What the agency was asked to doNot published as a quoted brief. On record: Publicis Groupe took media, influencer, commerce, healthcare professional support and technology for all Kenvue brands, plus creative and production for Neutrogena. WPP took creative and production for every other brand.
How the agency was pickedCompetitive pitch
How that happenedKenvue ran a global review of media, brand and production services that opened around 30 September 2025 and closed in December 2025. Adweek says the review was competitive and began earlier in the fall. WPP and Publicis Groupe split the outcome. Incumbents beyond Publicis, which already held Kenvue media in Asia Pacific, are not named.
How long it tookReview opened around 30 September 2025, outcome announced 22 December 2025, so about three months. Start date and contract length not published. The earlier global influencer agency review was reported 11 September 2024.
Recorded asKenvue (Tylenol, Listerine, Neutrogena, Band-Aid, Aveeno, Neosporin)
Watch out for: Publicis is a holding company, not an influencer shop, and the word influencer describes one line of a very large media and commerce remit. Do not present this as Kenvue hiring an influencer agency. The separate 2024 global influencer agency review has no published outcome, so do not assume this review settled it. The Adweek and MediaPost spend figures conflict. Provenance: the Adweek article was read in full; the Ad Age originals and MediaPost are paywalled, so the influencer wording was taken from BestMediaInfo's published text and Ad Age's own social posts, not from a full read of Ad Age.
